A quick one: homemade sourdough crisped in a cast iron pan with garlic, rosemary and lemon zest.

The oil

Garlic, rosemary and lemon zest warm gently in olive oil until fragrant, while a couple of thick slices come off a homemade sourdough loaf

Frying

The bread goes in to soak up the oil and crisp, then gets flipped and spooned with the garlic and herbs. The pale wooden mill is salt, not pepper

Served

Cut into pieces with a squeeze of lemon, next to Olivye (a Ukrainian favourite potato salad) and some avocado

The toast cut up and plated with salad and avocado
